Bari Lynn Berger has been sentenced to five years in prison for scamming investors out of $1.7 million. Berger previously pleaded guilty to mail fraud and wire fraud, admitting that she falsely represented herself to investors as the heir to an estate worth billions of dollars.
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has filed lawsuits against Nicholas Lamb and Robert White, Ohio residents accused by DeWine of running a craigslist scam offering to sell video game systems, video games, phones, and phone cards.
Adley H. Abdulwahab had been convicted by a federal jury for his role in a $100 million fraud scheme with more than 800 victims across the United States and Canada.
Vij Misir is alive! He is alive! But, he’s been sentenced to 36 months of imprisonment, three years of supervised release, and restitution in the amount of $1.5 million to Midland National Life Insurance Company of Sioux Falls and $495,000 to West Coast Life.

Six individuals – including a securities attorney – have been charged with defrauding investors in a stock manipulation scheme from 2003 to 2008.
A suburban Chicago man has been charged with allegedly engaging in an investment fraud scheme, swindling more than $105 million from approximately 400 victims who invested in funds he purported to operate. Daniel Spitzer was charged with eight counts of mail fraud. Spitzer allegedly misused money he raised from investors for his own benefit, and to make Ponzi-type payments to investors.
The Federal Communications Commission’s ("FCC") Video Relay Service ("VRS") program is an online video translation service that allows people with hearing disabilities to communicate with hearing individuals through the use of interpreters and web cameras. A person with a hearing disability who wants to communicate with a hearing person can do so by contacting a VRS provider through an audio and video Internet connection.
A federal grand jury has issued a 709-count indictment, charging 533 defendants with mail fraud conspiracy, mail fraud, Social Security fraud and one forfeiture count, according to Rosa Emilia Rodríguez-Vélez, U.S. Attorney for the District of Puerto Rico.
