A Look Back: “The Day That Lehman Died”

We are days away from the one year anniversary of the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by Lehman Brothers – the largest bankruptcy filing in U.S. history.

There will be much discussion of the event, here and elsewhere, but we’d like to highlight two upcoming events now: NPR Radio is presenting a BBC radio drama, "The Day That Lehman Died," a fictionalized account of what happened the weekend before the bankruptcy filing. John Shea (known for playing the evil Lex Luthor in the early 1990s TV show, “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”), plays the head of Lehman.

In a separate NPR presentation, Studio 360 goes behind the scenes at the making of the show this weekend.
