R. Allen Stanford’s New Lawyer: Robert Luskin, Who Replaces Dick DeGuerin
Dick DeGuerin tried the other week to get Allen Stanford out of a hot, un-air conditioned cell. See http://www.financialfraudlaw.com/content/my-mom-r-allen-stanford-and-air...
Now, DeGuerin has moved the court to withdraw from his representation.
DeGuerin’s papers say “Allen Stanford has refused to authorize undersigned counsel to seek assurances of future legal fees and expenses,” and that he and his associates “are unwilling to go forward without the assurance of being paid for work in the future.”
Stanford’s new lawyer: Robert Luskin, of Patton Boggs. His bio is available at http://www.pattonboggs.com/rluskin/.
