A new Special Report is now posted for subscribers: “The President Signs a Significant Amendment to the Federal False Claims Act.” Here, Scot T. Hasselman, a partner, and Andrew C. Bernasconi and Nathan Fennessy, associates, in the Washington, D.C., office of Reed Smith explain that the president recently signed into law the Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act of 2009 (“FERA”), which will implement significant changes to the federal False Claims Act (“FCA”).
