‘Top U.S. Bribery Prosecutor to Join Paul Weiss’ As FCPA Defense Continues To Sizzle For Law Firms

In an article entitled, “Top U.S. Bribery Prosecutor to Join Paul Weiss,” the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Mark Mendelsohn, the federal government’s lead prosecutor in charge of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, will be joining the Paul Weiss law firm to develop its FCPA defense practice. The Journal notes that the FCPA is “a sizzling hot practice area,” and that firms that talked with Mendelsohn about joining included O’Melveny & Myers; Cadwalader; Milbank Tweed; and Cleary Gottlieb.
