Another Ex-Prosecutor Joins Cadwalader’s Financial Fraud Group

Just days after Kenneth L. Wainstein, a former U.S. Attorney, joined the Business Fraud practice group at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, the firm has landed another senior prosecutor: Adam Lurie is heading for Cadwalader’s Washington office as a partner in its Business Fraud and Complex Litigation Department.

Lurie was Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General Criminal Division. Prior to his most recent position at the Department of Justice, Lurie served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Newark, N.J., specializing in securities and health care fraud and corruption matters, and as the Staff Director and Counsel for Investigations and Oversight for the U.S. House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

Lurie received his undergraduate degree from Mary Washington College and his J.D. from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
