A federal jury in New Haven has found Robert Braddock, Jr., guilty of multiple offenses stemming from what prosecutors asserted was a scheme to direct illegal campaign contributions into the campaign of a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives. The trial before U.S. District Judge Janet Bond Arterton began on May 13, and the jury returned its verdict after deliberating for approximately two hours.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is alleging that Charles J. Dushek and his son Charles S. Dushek engaged in a fraudulent cherry-picking scheme with their investment advisory firm, Capital Management Associates, Inc. (CMA), defrauding CMA clients in a scheme that garnered the Dusheks nearly $2 million in illicit profits.

Semen Domnitser, Luba Kramrish, and Oksana Romalis have been convicted in Manhattan federal court of fraud charges for their participation in a scheme to defraud programs administered by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, Inc., that were established to aid the survivors of Nazi persecution, out of more than $57 million. Domnitser, a former employee of the Claims Conference, served as the director of the programs from 1999 to 2010. Read more
