Marshall Camp, Former Federal Prosecutor, Joins Irell's White Collar Crime Practice

Marshall Camp, a former federal prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, has joined the white collar defense practice at Irell & Manella as Special Counsel in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

As a prosecutor, Camp was lead or co-lead counsel in dozens of investigations and prosecutions of federal criminal matters that ranged from white collar frauds to international narco-terrorism.  For more than a year, he was one of two lead prosecutors who oversaw one of the largest criminal tax investigations in U.S. history, relating to billions of dollars in allegedly abusive tax shelters sold by a "Big Four" accounting firm.  Mr. Camp also served as co-lead trial counsel, and delivered the government's closing argument, in a 10 week jury trial of four current or former partners who had led the accounting firm's national tax shelter practice.
