Want To Prosecute FCPA Cases For Six Months? Apply Now!

The DOJ is looking for an “experienced federal prosecutor” to serve a six month detail in the Fraud Section based in Washington, D.C., to work on matters arising under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

An interesting aspect of the announcement is that it highlights that the Fraud Section is “the largest litigating component of the Criminal Division,” directing and coordinating “the federal effort against fraud and white-collar crime.” It “investigates and prosecutes complex white-collar crime cases throughout the country and implements and coordinates enforcement policy. Among other things, Fraud Section cases focus on bribery of foreign government officials in violation of the FCPA, corporate and securities fraud schemes, health care fraud, and procurement fraud.”
